Rasmus Zschoch (*1988) is a composer, music producer and sound artist.
He studied Composition at the Prince Claus Conservatorium and the Minerva Academy of Art in Groningen, the Netherlands.
His work is rooted in a multidisciplinary approach, often incorporating performative elements and seeking collaboration with artists from different backgrounds.
As a performer, he mixes analogue sound sources with digital processing and effects, classically inspired melodies and harmonies with instantaneous and accidental noise. Contact microphones, self-built instruments, toys, as well as guitar and piano are parts of his ever-growing equipment.
He has produced and composed in different fields and for different artists. His collaborations include video artist Akiko Nakayama, singer/songwriters Jonas David, Anna Luca Mohrhenn and rap artists Roger Rekless, Horst Wegener and Das Bo.
Apart from compositions for short films, documentaries and commercials, Rasmus has most notably co-composed and produced the score to the 2018 Warner Bros. movie “Vielmachglas” and the German TV series “Servus, Baby”.
Rasmus Zschoch lives and works in Wuppertal, Germany.
